I'm pierced… now what?
Don't touch, itch, pat, or play with the pierced area. Really — hands off.
Spritz saline on the front and back of the piercing, let it soak 1–2 minutes, then gently remove dried matter with a wet Q-tip. Repeat AM + PM for 4–6 weeks.
Healing isn't a race and timelines vary person to person. Some discomfort is normal at first. Keep it clean, don't touch it, and don't remove the jewelry to clean it. Avoid lakes and hot tubs for 3–4 months.
A warm salt-water compress up to twice a week gives healing a boost or relieves irritation — ¼ tsp salt per cup of water, compress until the water cools (about 5 minutes).
"Sometimes stuff happens — that's why I'm here. I'll always answer questions, offer aftercare check-ups, or give honest advice if you ever need extra help."
